मत कर माया को अहंकार

This song was written 600 yrs ago by Saint Kabir Das. He was a mystic poet and a musician and was one of the important saint of Hinduism and also considered a Sufi by Muslims. Thus such deep meaning.

1) मत कर माया को अहंकार , मत कर काया को अभिमान काया गार से काची, काया गार से काची,

जैसे ओस रा मोती झोंका पवन का लग जाये, झपका पवन का लग जाए काया धूल हो जासी

(माया या धन का अहंकार मत करो, अपने काया पर गर्व मत करो। यह मिट्टी की तरह नाजुक है। औंस की बूंदों की तरह नाजुक है। बस एक पवन का झोंका आने से काया मिट्टी में मिल जाएंगी , धूल हो जाएंगी। इसलिए माया और काया पर गर्व मत करो।)

2) ऐसा सख्त था महाराज, जिनका मुल्कों में राज जिन घर झूलता हाथी, जिन घर झूलता हाथी, जैसे ओस रा मोती

(एक बार एक कठोर राजा था, जिसकी कई राष्ट्रों में प्रसिद्धि थी। वह बहुत समृद्ध था, पर कठोर और अहंकारी था। उसके महल में एक दिन हाथी घुस गए, मतलब उसका साम्राज्य नष्ट हो गया जैसे औंस की मोती की तरह।)

3) भरया सिन्दड़ा में तेल, जहाँ रचयो है सब खेल जल रही दिया की बाती, जल रही दिया की बाती, जैसे ओस रा मोती खूट गया सिन्दड़ा रो तेल , बिखर गया सब निज खेल बुझ गया दिया का बाती,बुझ गया दिया का बाती, जैसे ओस रा मोती

(मतलब जब तक दीपक तेल से भर दिया जाए, तब तक वह आसानी से जलता रहता है और रोशनी देता रहता है। मगर जब दीपक से तेल निकाल दिया जाए तब वह जलने का और रोशनी देने का नाटक बंद हो जाता है, जैसे ओस की बूंदों की तरह। मतलब जब तक दीपक में तेल है तब तक और रोशनी देता रहता है… )

4) लाल में का लाल, तेरा कौन क्या हवाल जिनको जम ले जासी, जिनको जम ले जासी, जैसे ओस रा मोती

(मतलब कबीर जी कहते हैं कि, ओ मेरे प्यारे ,अनमोल प्यारे , जब मौत तुम्हें ले जाएगी ; तब तुम क्या करोगे? मौत के साथ तुम्हें जाना ही पड़ेगा, ओस की बूंद की तरह।)

5) झूठा माई थारो बाप झूठा सकल परिवार झूठा कूंटता छाती,झूठा कूंटता छाती, जैसे ओस रा मोती

(मौत के बाद मां-बाप, परिवारिक संबंध, छाती ठोकना , शोक करना, यह सब झूठ है एक भ्रम है। ओस की बूंद की तरह।)

6) बोल्या भवानी हो नाथ, गुरूजी ने सिर पर धरया हाथ जिनसे मुक्ति हो जासी, जिनसे मुक्ति हो जासी, जैसे ओस रा मोती

(संत कबीर जी के अनुयायी भवानी नाथ कहते हैं कि, मेरे गुरु ने मेरे सिर पर हाथ रखा है। मुझे आशीर्वाद दिया है, जिससे मेरी मुक्ति होना तय है । मेरी मुक्ति आसानी से हो जाएगी।)
