Delhi, NOT so Queer Pride 2019

I am NOT in agreement with the term ‘Queer’.
I root for it to be changed to ‘Pride’ just ‘Pride Parade’.
Why Queer? It is a word that is counterproductive when we are championing the Right of being treated as Normal.

Let all of us unite in this and change it forever. Let us be the generation that refuses to call them so.

As per Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queer ( In the 2000s and on, queer became increasingly used to describe a broad spectrum of non-normative(i.e. anti-heteronormative and anti-homonormative) sexual and gender identities and politics. )

As per the Collins Dictionary, something that is Queer is strange. https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/queer

This thought has been germinating in my mind for a while and was again triggered by Rashmi, a very talented photographer on a Social media platform. She covered the Pride Parade, visually. And what a treat to look at each one of those pictures. Please take time out and view them. I am adding a few here to give you an idea of the visual treat that awaits you. https://www.facebook.com/RendezvousWithRashmi/

Don’t call them QUEER. They are not. They are normal people like you and me. Start a movement. Call it the PRIDE PARADE.

Share this, talk about it. I am calling out to all celebrities in the world!
Join the movement. STOP diffrenciating!
