Thumbs was released on October 6, 2016, as a promotional single for Sabrina Carpenter’s sophomore album EVOLution. It is the ninth song performed on Carpenter’s headline tour of the same name.
Thumbs is a song about not becoming someone who just goes along with everybody else and how everyone in the world is the same in some way.

Sabrina Ann Lynn Carpenter is an American singer, songwriter and actress. She had a recurring role as the young version of Chloe Goodwin in The Goodwin Games and starred as Maya Hart in the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World.
